OUR TRAINING IS DESIGNED TO PRODUCE PILOTS WHO ARE BETTER SKILLED, MORE AWARE, AND MORE CAPABLE IN REAL-WORLD FLYING ENVIRONMENTS.
We work through the syllabus thoroughly and in detail, but we don’t stop there. We deliberately add practical, scenario-based training that prepares pilots for real decision-making, variable conditions, and operational flying — always with safety as the foundation.
Whether flying recreationally or professionally, Helivate pilots leave with more than a licence. They leave with confidence, discipline, and the ability to think ahead of the aircraft.
At Helivate, we don’t train average pilots, we strive to create exceptional ones.

All training is conducted one-on-one, allowing us to tailor each lesson to the individual student. You control the pace, the schedule, and the journey, whether you want to move fast or train alongside work or studies.

2 – 3 slots per day Allows the student to complete their training in 3 – 4 months.

1 – 2 slots per week Allows the student to complete their training in 10 – 12 months.
Start with a briefing from a certified instructor who will tell you what you need to know about piloting a helicopter and the safety concerns.
You can ask as many questions as you like to make sure you are familiarised with the theory before you turn it into practice.
During the Self-Fly, the instructor will allow you to take control of the helicopter yourself.
And what is even better, you can invite all your friends and family to witness your great moment as you fly off and return to land.
The minimum requirement as per the SACAA regulation is 50 hours of flight training for the issue of a Private Helicopter Pilot Licence*.
